To evacuate fluids:

To change oil:

  1. Ensure oil is warm by running engine for a few minutes.  If engine is hot, allow it to cool to warm.  We recommend that oil temperature not be above 100F.
  2. Remove dipstick from engine.  Remove oil fill cap (allows suction to work quicker).
  3. Follow steps 1-8 above making sure to push firm tube through dipstick hole to bottom of oil pan without jamming into bottom of pan.
  4. Add new oil according to manufacturer recommendations.

To vacuum bleed brakes:

  1. Attach flexible tube to firm extractor tube.
  2. Attach flexible tube to bleed nipple (consult vehicle manual for proper bleeding sequence).
  3. Squeeze pinch clamp until extractor tube is closed.
  4. Use hand pump to create vacuum in Power Extractor™ tank.
  5. Open bleed valve then release pinch clamp on extractor tube.
  6. When old fluid is evacuated and new fluid starts to come through, close bleed nipple.
  7. Remove flexible tube from bleed nipple and repeat steps 2-6 for remaining wheels.

CAUTION: Do not exceed 15 in. Hg vacuum.  Do not allow fluid beyond maximum fill line on tank.  Avoid storing any flammable fluids near heated areas or in direct sunlight and use extractor in a well ventilated area.  Not recommended for fluid temperatures over 175 degrees F (80 degrees C)
